In Lviv, the rules for using electric scooters have been tightened: now they can only be ridden from the age of 16 and with a mandatory helmet. The new restrictions were introduced due to an increase in the number of injuries among underage users. This was reported by the Lviv City Council, writes UNN.
City council deputies approved the new rules. Now, riding electric scooters and other micromobility devices is only allowed from the age of 16 and only with a helmet, and on certain sections, the speed will be limited to 15 km/h
The city has also regulated the parking of rental scooters and agreed to install experimental road signs with additional requirements for users.
These innovations were introduced due to an increase in the number of injuries among minors while using electric scooters.
