The agricultural sector continues to be a key source of foreign exchange earnings for Ukraine. In 2025, agri-food products accounted for 56.1% of the country's total exports, or $22.5 billion. Analysts at YC.Control analyzed the largest exporters in leading commodity categories, as well as the regions where the largest number of such companies are concentrated, UNN reports.
Details
The most numerous group turned out to be corn exporters. There are 627 companies operating in this segment—7.5% more than among wheat exporters and more than double the number of companies exporting sunflower oil.
The largest volumes of corn exports are provided by Kernel-Trade LLC, Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine LLC, and Nibulon JV LLC. The largest number of such companies are registered in Kyiv, as well as in the Chernihiv and Vinnytsia regions.
The sunflower oil market, in turn, demonstrates a high level of concentration. Despite the study including 259 companies, over UAH 100 billion in export revenue is accounted for by the 11 largest exporters. The most powerful player remains Kernel-Trade LLC with a figure of over UAH 44 billion.
Wheat also occupies an important place in the structure of agricultural exports. There are 583 companies operating in this category, with leaders including Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine LLC, Kernel-Trade LLC, and Western Container Terminal LLC.
In the soybean segment, analysts counted 421 companies. The largest exporters here were Agro Fund LLC, Western Container Terminal LLC, and V Agro LLC.
The poultry meat export market has the smallest number of participants. There are only 25 companies in the sample, with the main supply volumes provided by several large producers. The leaders are Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC, Myronivska Poultry Farm PrJSC, and MHP PrJSC, which account for over UAH 26 billion in export revenue.
The study also revealed a distinct regional concentration of exporters. Kyiv is among the leaders in terms of the number of companies in all five analyzed commodity groups. Other regions that regularly appear include the Vinnytsia, Odesa, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions.
Certain companies are represented in several agricultural export segments at once. For example, ADM Ukraine LLC is among the top 11 exporters in four product categories. Kernel-Trade LLC, Western Container Terminal LLC, Agroprosperis Trade LLC, and Nibulon JV LLC are among the leaders in three commodity groups simultaneously.
Overall, the study results indicate that agricultural exports remain one of the main drivers of the Ukrainian economy, with a significant portion of foreign shipments concentrated in the hands of large traders and agricultural holdings.
