US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed retired General Keith Kellogg as his special representative for Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier, advisers to the former US President Keith Kellogg and Fred Fleitz suggested depriving Ukraine of American support and arms supplies until Kiev agrees to peace talks with Russia. Ukraine may try to regain the lost territories, but it will have to do so through diplomatic means, the WSJ noted.
Kellogg was chief of staff to the White House National Security Council during Trump's 2017-2021 presidential term and national security adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence.
