Denmark will transfer an additional 15,000 long-range artillery rounds to Ukraine after revising the format of military aid in line with the current needs of the front. Part of the ammunition has already arrived in Ukraine. This was reported by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, reports UNN.
Details
According to Fedorov, Ukraine continues to work with international partners to improve the effectiveness of military support and direct resources to the most demanded areas.
We have three unchanging priorities: air defense, long-range artillery, and Ukrainian drones. It is on these areas that we are concentrating our efforts and working to ensure that partners' funds are used as efficiently as possible
He said that the Ukrainian side proposed that Denmark revise part of the already planned aid and reorient it from short-range artillery to long-range solutions.
Denmark responded promptly to this request. As a result, the Defense Forces will receive an additional 15,000 long-range artillery rounds. Some of them have already arrived in Ukraine
The minister stressed that long-range ammunition remains one of the key requests of the Ukrainian military.
According to him, in the conditions of the constantly expanding drone kill-zone, such means of destruction allow for more effective destruction of enemy logistics, its command posts and other important targets, while reducing risks for Ukrainian defenders.
I thank Denmark for its trust, swift communication, and readiness to adapt support to the real needs of the front. It is precisely such decisions that make it possible to quickly strengthen the capabilities of the Defense Forces where it is most needed
Fedorov also noted that, on the instructions of the President of Ukraine, work is ongoing to ensure that every decision by international partners yields maximum results for protecting the Ukrainian sky, strengthening the front, and destroying Russia's military potential.
