According to Budanov, experts, architects, and families of the fallen Maidan activists agreed on the project of the National Memorial Complex to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the future exhibition. He emphasized that construction should begin in the near future.
We are obliged to do this quickly and professionally. This is our duty to the memory of the fallen Heroes. The families of the fallen Maidan activists and the entire Ukrainian society have been waiting for this for too long. And we will do it
He noted that the memorial complex will become a space of memory for the feat of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, which influenced the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation.
This memorial is a tribute from the Ukrainian people to the Heroes for their feat, which has become part of the core of our nation
Budanov also reported that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, instructed him to prioritize the implementation of this project. According to him, the Memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred should become a place of memory, dignity, and strength, where future generations of Ukrainians will be able to realize the price of freedom and independence of Ukraine.
