Blackout in Vladivostok in Russia after “training” of power engineers

A massive blackout occurred in Vladivostok and almost the entire coastal region after a scheduled training session for power engineers. More than 1.8 million people were left without power, including hospitals and public transportation.
In the Russian Federation, Vladivostok and almost all of Primorye were left without electricity after "training" by local power engineers, Russian telegram channels report, UNN writes.

"A complete blackout in Vladivostok. The locals are panicking. Dozens of people are still stuck in the elevators," SHOT.
"What exactly happened is being clarified, but it is known that this morning, the acting Minister of Energy and Gas Supply of the Primorsky Krai, Elena Shish, together with DRSK JSC, conducted a planned training session to work out an emergency situation related to the emergency shutdown of a high-voltage power line," the statement said.
According to SHOT, there is currently no electricity in the entire coastal region due to an accident on the Primorskaya GRES-Khekhtsir-2 line. The system operator is currently engaged in restoration work.
As noted, more than 1.8 million people are currently without electricity in Primorye.
"They cut the power in the whole town. The refrigerator doesn't work, no one has electricity," locals say.
As reported, there is no power in Vladivostok hospitals. As SHOT was informed by the Far Eastern District Medical Center, it is now dark there. Doctors are hastily checking whether the equipment is working and the condition of the backup generators.
People are reported to be getting out of stalled trains and manually raising barriers on the tracks.
