Azerbaijan and Armenia agree to exchange prisoners and intend to sign a peace treaty

Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to exchange prisoners and are working toward a peace treaty that respects sovereignty and territorial integrity. They support each other's international bids and commit to taking confidence-building measures in the future.
Armenia and Azerbaijan intend to regulate their relations and conclude a peace treaty based on based on respect for the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is stated in a joint statement by by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, UNN reports .
As a gesture of goodwill, the Republic of Armenia expresses its support for the application submitted by the Republic of Azerbaijan to host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) and withdraws its candidacy. The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan express their hope that other countries of the Eastern European Group will also support the application submitted by the Republic of Azerbaijan,

Azerbaijan also supports Armenia's candidacy for membership in the Bureau of the Bureau of the Eastern European Group of States of the SOR.
The Azerbaijani side noted that releases 32 Armenian servicemen, and Armenia releases two Azerbaijani servicemen.
