Zelenskyy on Russia's attack: Europe, America, and Ukraine want to stop the war; only Putin does not, clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones

As a result of Russia's overnight attack on Kyiv and the region, four people were killed, including a three-year-old child. Zelenskyy called for increased pressure on Russia through new sanctions and for Ukraine to be provided with more air defense systems.
Russia struck civilian infrastructure in Kyiv overnight with 6 ballistic missiles, killing people in the capital and the region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, responding to the Russian attack and emphasizing that "Europe, America, and Ukraine have long wanted to stop this Russian war; only Putin does not, and he is clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones with all his might in order to continue fighting," UNN writes.

"Tonight, Russia killed three people in the village of Pukhivka in the Kyiv region in drone strikes: a grandfather, a grandmother, and their grandson. The boy was only three years old. Four more people were hospitalized: the child's parents, his 15-year-old brother, and a neighbor who came to help the family and was wounded during a repeated strike. The victims suffered thermal burns and shrapnel wounds. My condolences. This was an ordinary residential building. The Russians could not have been unaware of that. There was also a strike by six ballistic missiles on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv. As of now, one person is known to have been killed. My condolences to the family and loved ones," Zelenskyy wrote on social media.
He also said that Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions had come under fire.
Europe, America, and Ukraine have long wanted to stop this Russian war. Only Putin does not, and he is clinging to his ballistic missiles and drones with all his might in order to continue fighting. More pressure is needed. New sanctions that will prevent the production of these ballistic missiles. And, of course, more protection is needed for our people. Ballistic missile defenses, interceptor missiles for Patriot, SAMP/T, NASAMS, HAWK, and our F-16s—all of this works and helps protect lives when it is here, in Ukraine, rather than somewhere in warehouses thousands of kilometers away from Russian strikes against life.
