Zelensky called for spreading the truth about the war in Ukraine and strengthening our air defense
Kyiv • UNN
Zelenskiy called on foreign ambassadors to spread the truth about Russian terror in Ukraine and help strengthen Ukraine's air defense, as Ukraine does not have enough weapons to protect lives compared to Russia's ability to destroy.
Spread the truth about the war in Ukraine and help strengthen our air defense. This call was made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a meeting with foreign and Ukrainian ambassadors, UNN reports.
All of you, working in Ukraine, in Kyiv, like all Ukrainians, hear the air raid alert, hope for the strength of our air defense, and see our people recovering from the strikes... Russian terror is possible only because we have fewer weapons and solutions to protect life than Russia has the ability to destroy. I ask you to spread the truth about the war - about Russian terror - in your countries, and to help strengthen our air defense.

The President of Ukraine specified Ukraine's needs for effective air defense systems such as Petriots, Irises, Nassams, and Goks. He added that this is not only a matter of security for Ukrainians, but also for other countries.
Every leader, every state, every ambassador who helps us with air defense now is not only a life saver, but also someone who reduces the Russian temptation to fight. The less the Kremlin achieves with terror, the more they will be interested in finding peace. We must force Russia to do so together.
Zelenskyy also reiterated that Ukraine's position is that war and the ineffectiveness of international rules should not become the new "normal" for international relations. Therefore, Ukraine proposes a Formula for Peace - a system of steps that can restore the effectiveness of international law, especially the UN Charter and actually restore security for Ukraine and the world as a whole.
It is not brute force that should determine how the world works, but the UN Charter, and in unity we can force Russia to recognize international law. In June, at the Summit, we will begin to agree on the first foundations of peace and offer a common global vision of how peace should work.
