Showman Sergey Prytula and his wife bought three one-bedroom apartments in Kyiv for UAH 4.1 million. This drew criticism, as Prytula actively collects donations for the Armed Forces, emphasizing the importance of every hryvnia.
Showman Serhiy Prytula and his wife Kateryna bought three one-bedroom apartments in Kyiv for UAH 4.1 million. And this is despite the fact that Prytula's charitable foundation is actively collecting donations for the Armed Forces from Ukrainians, emphasizing that every hryvnia counts. According to Law and Business, the apartments in the Fina Town residential complex were purchased in May last year, UNN reports.
"A person who positions himself as a volunteer and collects hryvnia donations from people to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces should refrain from making purchases that are obviously not vital. And he could have directed this money, or a part of it, to the same fund in his own name, rather than boasting about a donation of 1000 UAH. However, it seems that for Prytula, money and property are more important than morality and ethics," the article says.
For example, on July 17, Prytula posted on social media a receipt for a donation to his foundation in the amount of UAH 1,000 for mobile air defense firing groups, hoping that he would "be able to sleep." But his post received a number of negative responses from readers.
"Maybe the newlyweds, who got married in August 2015, had no place to live and therefore decided to buy 3 apartments at once, with an eye to the future? No, because S. Prytula owned a four-room apartment in the capital with an area of 73.4 meters. But even this was not enough: in May last year, in the midst of the war, K. Prytula bought three one-bedroom apartments in the Fina Town residential complex at once, paying more than UAH 4.1 million for them," Law and Business writes.
In addition, according to the State Register of Real Property Rights, Prytula's wife has owned two neighboring apartments in the capital on Zolotoustivska Street (one-bedroom of 84.9 square meters and a three-bedroom of 120.3 square meters) and a parking space since 2016.
In the same building, Prytula himself owned another 55-square-meter apartment, a parking space, and a group of non-residential premises with an area of 80 square meters.
The fact that the Prytula family did not have a problem with real estate is also evidenced by a gift Kateryna received from her sister in 2021. In particular, she received two parking spaces from Svitlana Khomutynnik, who is the wife of Vitaliy Khomutynnik, a well-known member of the Party of Regions, which Serhiy Prytula constantly criticizes.
