The United States imposed sanctions on eight Belarusians and
11 Belarusian companies, including the head of the Belarusian Red Cross Society. This was reported on the website of the US Treasury Department,

Details
It is noted that the sanctions are imposed on the general secretary of the Belarusian
Dmitry Shevtsov, as well as entrepreneurs Alexander Shakutin, Pavel
Topuzidis and Viktor Petrovich.
Among the companies under sanctions are, in particular, the concern
"Bellesbumprom, Vavilov Iron and Steel Works - the managing company of the holding
"BelOMO, Belmitservice.
The Ministry of Finance noted that the sanctions are related to
"anti-democratic actions and human rights violations," and the promotion of
enrichment of the family of President Alexander Lukashenko, as well as support for
Russian special operation in Ukraine.
