Ukrzaliznytsia will increase the number of children's carriages to 16 with the start of the summer schedule

With the start of the summer schedule on June 28, the number of children's carriages in Ukrzaliznytsia trains will increase from 13 to 16. The company has already completed the test run of two new carriages, and another is set to leave the factory next week, UNN reports, citing Ukrzaliznytsia.

UZ noted that expanding the fleet of children's carriages was made possible thanks to cooperation with Visa. Over the past three months, the partners have modernized and prepared six such carriages. According to the carrier, children's carriages have the highest approval rating among passengers.

New routes with children's carriages

Currently, children's carriages operate on the routes Kharkiv – Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv – Yasynia, Kharkiv – Uzhhorod, Odesa – Yasynia, Dnipro – Truskavets, Kyiv – Uzhhorod, Kyiv – Rakhiv, and Kyiv – Chișinău.

From June 28, such carriages will also appear on the trains Kharkiv – Kholm, Kharkiv – Chernivtsi, and Kyiv – Chișinău ("Bessarabia").

Only passengers with children are allowed to travel in children's carriages. For the youngest travelers, there are changing tables, baby food warmers, playpens, children's bedding, play elements, board games, and evening audio fairy tales. All carriages are equipped with air conditioning and offer a special children's menu.
