Ukrainians warned of "yellow" level of danger due to thunderstorms

In the coming hours and until the end of the day on July 13, thunderstorms are expected in most of Ukraine. The thunderstorm front, as indicated, will persist into the next day.

Weather forecasters have warned of a "yellow" level of danger due to worsening weather conditions and thunderstorms in most regions of Ukraine, reports UNN citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to forecasts from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, thunderstorms are expected in the next three hours and until the end of the day on July 13 in most of Ukraine, including Kyiv and the region. The bad weather will only bypass Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions and Crimea.
The thunderstorm front, as noted, will persist into the next day:
- during the night of July 14, thunderstorms are forecast in Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions;
- In the afternoon of July 14, thunderstorms will spread across the entire territory of Ukraine.
"Due to the bad weather, a Level I danger (yellow) has been declared," the statement reads.
Rescuers urged caution, advising to stay away from sprawling trees, billboards, and power lines during the storm.
