The NBU and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have created a silver commemorative coin “Digital State” with a binary code and an electronic network. The 10-hryvnia coin will go into circulation on December 13, 2024, and will be available for purchase from January 9, 2025.
The National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have jointly created a commemorative coin "Digital State" dedicated to Ukraine's technological achievements, UNN reports.
Commemorative coin "Digital State"
The obverse of the coin depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine surrounded by an electronic network that symbolizes Ukraine as a single digital system. This composition embodies the monolithic and integrity of the state, which has united all aspects of citizens' lives with the help of the latest technologies. The network reflects the symbolic unification of the west, east, south and north under a single coat of arms, emphasizing the country's technological unity.
The reverse of the coin is decorated with a schematic map of Ukraine created from the digits of a binary code in which the name UKRAINE is encrypted. The name is read vertically on the left, and its decoding is possible through a sequence of digits. At the bottom right is the inscription "DIGITAL STATE", which is represented by a stylized computer mouse cursor. The composition emphasizes the importance of technology in the modern world.
The coin was designed by artist Andriy Sagach.
The Digital State coin was put into circulation on December 13, 2024. It is made of 999 silver, has a square shape, the face value is 10 hryvnias, and the weight of the precious metal is 31.1 g. The coin has a smooth face and a mintage of up to 7,500 pieces.
You can buy the coin from January 9, 2025.
