Donald Trump refuted Chris Wright's statement about high fuel costs until 2027. The US President expects prices to fall immediately after the end of the war with Iran.

US President Donald Trump refuted the words of the country's Energy Minister Chris Wright that gasoline prices will not decrease until 2027. This is reported by UNN with reference to Reuters.
Details
According to Trump, Americans can expect prices to drop immediately after the war with Iran ends.
The publication reminds that on Sunday, Wright stated that although the price of gasoline below $3 per gallon "could happen later this year, it might not happen until next year."
"I think he's wrong on that. Absolutely wrong."
The publication adds that, according to AAA estimates, the average price per gallon of regular gasoline on Monday was $4.04, compared to $3.15 a year ago. On Monday, world oil prices rose by 5%.
Context
Oil and natural gas prices rose sharply after the US Navy seized an Iranian ship, which was preceded by Tehran's shelling of European vessels and its regaining control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, United States troops attacked and seized an Iranian-flagged vessel when it tried to "break through" the blockade in the Gulf of Oman.
