US President Donald Trump unveiled a new presidential aircraft Air Force One, built on the basis of a former Qatari airliner. The plane received a dark blue design and will be used for foreign trips, in particular for the NATO summit.

Details
The new aircraft has an updated design. Instead of the traditional light blue coloring from the time of President John F. Kennedy, its lower part has been painted dark blue with a red stripe, and a large US flag is placed on the tail. The presidential seal is also depicted on board.

New aircraft for foreign trips
According to the US president, next month he will use the new Air Force One for a trip to the NATO summit in Ankara. Trump also said he plans to return to China, likely for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in the fall.

The new aircraft will serve as a temporary Air Force One until the delivery of new presidential planes from Boeing, which are currently expected in 2028. Trump also said the plane will make a demonstration flyover during the celebration of US Independence Day on July 4.
