Trump canceled strike on Iran following allies' request for "serious negotiations"

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he canceled a strike on Iran planned for Tuesday at the request of Gulf allies to allow for "serious negotiations," UNN reports.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that "serious negotiations" with Iran are currently underway and that Gulf countries believe a "deal will be made."

"This deal, importantly, will include no nuclear weapons for Iran!" he stated.

But, he added, Washington is ready for a "full-scale attack on Iran at any moment if an acceptable deal is not reached."

The Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan asked me to refrain from our planned military attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was scheduled for tomorrow, as serious negotiations are now underway, and that, in their opinion as Great Leaders and Allies, a deal will be reached that will be very acceptable to the United States of America, as well as to all countries in the Middle East and beyond. This Deal, importantly, will include no nuclear weapons! Based on my respect for the aforementioned leaders, I have instructed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Daniel Kane, and the United States Armed Forces that we will not carry out the planned attack on Iran tomorrow, but have additionally instructed them to be ready for a full-scale attack on Iran at any moment if an acceptable deal is not reached
