The head of the US Secret Service will provide information about the investigation into the assassination attempt on Trump to Congress
The U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee on the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally has invited Kimberly Cheadle, head of the U.S. Secret Service, to testify, UNN reports, citing a statement by the Oversight Committee's press service posted on social network X.
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has invited Director of the U.S. Secret Service Cheadle to testify at a hearing on Monday, July 22.
"Americans are demanding answers about the attempted assassination of President Trump," the statement said.

Former US President Donald Trump was shot during a speech in Pennsylvania. Secret Service agents escorted former US President Donald Trump off the stage after he fell to the ground at a rally in Butler.
Trump later said that the bullet had pierced the top of his right ear. The shooting killed one spectator and seriously injured two others.
The shooter, a 20-year-old man, was killed. According to the information provided by the Secret Service, he fired several shots toward the stage from the roof of a building outside the rally venue. The events are currently being investigated as an assassination attempt on Trump.
