Today's generation of Ukrainians will have to work longer in old age, stay active longer and provide for themselves through their labor due to a reduction in the ratio of working people to pensioners.

Today's generation of Ukrainians will have to work longer in old age, stay more active longer, and provide for themselves with their labor longer. This was stated by the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych during the forum "Demographic Future of Ukraine: Strategy of Sustainability and Recovery", UNN reports .

We understand that today's generation will have to work longer in old age, stay more active longer and provide for themselves with their labor longer. Because today the number of working people and retirees is already 1 to 1. So we need to think about what public health is today, we need to create the most inclusive environment possible to keep us active and also work very seriously on the continuous development of our people throughout their lives. That is, the culture of sustainable development

 ," Zholnovych said.

According to her, in order to increase the replacement of earnings by pensions for pensioners to at least 40%, about 6 million more working people are needed today, and births cannot provide this in any way.

In this context, the question of how to bring people back from abroad is of particular importance. We are talking not only about our migrants fleeing the war, we are also talking about Ukrainians of many generations, we are also talking about those who decided to leave much earlier, we are also talking about active foreigners who are uncomfortable in their countries and who will be ready to choose our country for their development and their home

- Zholnovych said.
