On the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Zelensky expressed gratitude to the soldiers, called on commanders to take care of their subordinates, and assured them that victory and the liberation of the occupied territories lie ahead.
On the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the liberation of the occupied territories and victory lie ahead. He urged commanders to take care of their soldiers and themselves and reminded that Ukrainians today can go to work and walk the streets only thanks to the Armed Forces, UNN reports.
I'm going to the wall of memory (of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers - ed.). Many people know where it is, many have been there. Those who have not been there yet should go. See the faces of our heroes, look into their eyes and just be silent. And in this silence, just think, remember, realize. Compare this day, compare this morning and the morning 651 days ago. How loud it was and how many people were afraid, how fear has lost and now everyone has heard about us. How hard it was then, and how not ashamed we are now. To remember what we could have lost and what we saved, knowing thanks to whom exactly
The President emphasized that today most Ukrainians have the opportunity to live and work thanks to the Armed Forces.
Zelenskyy also reminded that the Ukrainian military fights for our freedom every day.
"Those who naively believed that it could be different. That three days would be enough, that it would be their way. But we have those who have proven and are proving that it will be our way. They prove it every day. Those who are fighting for our freedom. On the front line, in trenches, tanks, airplanes. In all branches of our troops, in all our brigades. In our east, in our south, in our north. All over our Ukraine. Who are fighting at the front and defending our peaceful regions," Zelensky said.

The President is confident that the liberation of the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia is ahead.
"The daily struggle for the temporarily occupied territories is behind us, and their liberation is ahead, but how else? These are our lands, these are our people. Is there any alternative? No, there is not. Nine years and 651 days of war are behind us. Victory is ahead. How could it be otherwise? Is there an alternative? We all know that there is not," Zelensky said.
Zelensky congratulated Ukrainian soldiers on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
I congratulate all of you on your professional holiday. Today there is only one word - well done. Today there is only one emotion - gratitude. And only one wish - to win. Commanders, please take care of your soldiers, take care of yourself, be yourself. I congratulate you on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And let us remember that St. Nicholas the Wonderworker will come to those who behaved well, and the Armed Forces will come to those who behaved badly
