Three regions of Ukraine are partially left without heat after a massive Russian attack

Houses in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovs'k and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were left without heat supply as a result of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine's energy system. A worker was killed at a thermal power plant in Dnipro.

As a result of the massive Russian army offensive this morning, three regions of Ukraine have heat supply interruptions. These are Kharkiv,  Dnipro and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. This was announced on Wednesday by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba, UNN reports.

As Kuleba pointed out, on Christmas Day, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine's energy system to leave Ukrainians without heat, water and electricity.

Dnipropetrovs'k, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were hit.

"Despite the work of air defense, unfortunately, there are hits," Kuleba emphasized.

Some regions are currently experiencing heat supply interruptions:

- Kharkiv region - 500 thousand subscribers are left without heat, that's 2677 houses.

- Dnipropetrovs'k region - in Dnipro and Zelenodolsk, there are 55 and 100 houses without heating, respectively.

- Ivano-Frankivsk region - 81 residential buildings are without heat.

Specialists are working to restore heat as soon as possible.

Kuleba also said that a thermal power plant worker was killed in Dnipro due to shelling.

In Ukraine, as a result of a massive missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation , restrictive measures have been introduced, and power outage schedules will be in effect until the end of the day.
