Thick smoke recorded over Tyumen Refinery after drone attack

In the russian federation, a drone attack on the Tyumen Oil Refinery (formerly the Antipinsky Oil Refinery) was reported; according to OSINT analysts, thick smoke is visible above it, despite local authorities' claims of repelling the attack, writes UNN.

Details

"Thick smoke is visible above the Tyumen Oil Refinery - the former Antipinsky Oil Refinery - in Tyumen," reports the ASTRA Telegram channel, citing its analysis data, adding: "Earlier, the governor reported repelling a UAV attack on this plant and the absence of damage to the enterprise."

The fact that "thick smoke is visible above the Tyumen Oil Refinery in Tyumen," as stated, was established by an ASTRA OSINT analyst from a witness video.

Earlier, the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, reported repelling a UAV attack on the Tyumen Oil Refinery, and that emergency services specialists are working at the site of the debris fall, and "according to preliminary information, the plant was not damaged, employees have been evacuated."

"At the same time, local residents reported hearing at least two explosions in the Antipino microdistrict, where the Tyumen Oil Refinery is located, and also saw at least 10 fire trucks heading towards the plant," ASTRA points out.

A drone threat was declared in the region, and Tyumen airport stopped releasing and receiving planes. Several flights were delayed.

The Tyumen Oil Refinery (TOR, a branch of the Moscow company "RI-INVEST") is one of the largest independent oil refineries in russia, located in the industrial zone of the city of Tyumen — near the Antipino microdistrict. The enterprise's capacity is about 8 million tons of oil per year with a processing depth reaching 98%. The main products of the enterprise are: Euro-5 standard diesel fuel, stable gas gasoline, petroleum coke, bitumen, and fuel oil.

Previously, the Tyumen Oil Refinery, as stated, was attacked in October 2025.

Reminder

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Moscow Oil Refinery stopped oil refining for an indefinite period after being hit by Ukrainian strike drones on June 18, 2026.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes on the Moscow Oil Refinery and in the Rostov region. The strikes were carried out, in particular, by FP-1 strike drones, manufactured by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. The russian "Pantsir" air defense system proved incapable of effectively countering the drones.

This is the second strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery.

Previously, on June 16, UAV attacks on oil facilities were recorded in the Moscow region and the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. Footage was also posted online showing an FP-1 strike drone, created by the company Fire Point for deep strikes on enemy territory, maneuvering in the sky over Moscow. Analysts point out that the affected refinery is located approximately 15 kilometers from the Kremlin.
