The Verkhovna Rada Committee is considering summoning Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi over the issue of education subvention

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning is considering a summons to Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi on the issue of educational subventions. This was announced by the chairman of the subcommittee on administrative-territorial structure and local self-government of this committee, MP of the Servant of the People faction Vitaliy Bezgin on December 5, UNN reports.

Details

Bezgin expressed an opinion on Facebook that "if Oksen Lisovyi allows himself to respond to MPs' requests to revise the educational subvention due to the liquidation of the SMT in the format "Mr. MP, go to ...., we will not do anything," then it seems that the change of Shkarlet has not changed anything."

So for now, our advice to Mr. Minister is to get ready for our committee meeting with a report on the topic. After the meeting, there will be an official call on 08.12. The choice is yours,

Bezgin wrote.

To recap

On October 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on "de-Sovietization" of the procedure for resolving certain issues of Ukraine's administrative-territorial structure, which, in particular, abolishes the concept of "urban-type settlement" and introduces a new concept - "settlement". The Verkhovna Rada adopted this draft law on July 31.

The law is expected to enter into force on January 26, 2024.
