A monitoring group from the Ombudsman's Office is heading to the 425th Assault Regiment "Skelya" following reports of torture. Dmytro Lubinets has appealed to the State Bureau of Investigation to investigate possible violations of the rights of military personnel.

The monitoring group of the Ombudsman's Office will check possible violations of the rights of military personnel in the 425th separate assault regiment "Skelya". This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on Telegram, writes UNN.

Lubinets says he appealed to the State Bureau of Investigation and the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office with a demand to conduct a full, objective, and impartial investigation.

Lubinets also added that he held a working meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Tomorrow, the monitoring group of the Ombudsman's Office will go to the site to conduct an inspection. I received assurances of full assistance to its work as an independent monitoring group
