According to operational data, on November 22, 2024, representatives of the Russian armed forces carried out the following position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located near the village of Petrovka, Pokrovsky district. During the enemy assault, four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forced to surrender. Immediately after that, the invaders opened fire on them to kill with automatic weapons.

"... a pre - trial investigation has been launched on the fact of violation of laws and Customs related to premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the report says.

Premeditated murder of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a serious international crime.

Now investigative actions are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in its commission.
