Shooting near the Parliament of Abkhazia: a deputy killed, another wounded

A shooting took place in the center of Sukhumi near the building of the parliament of the unrecognized republic, killing MP Vakhtang Golandzia. Another deputy, Kan Kvartsiya, was wounded in the arm.

A shooting took place in the center of Sukhumi near the parliament building of occupied Abkhazia , as a result of which MP Vakhtang Golandzia died of his injuries. His colleague Kan Kvartsia was wounded in the arm. Doctors are trying to provide him with the necessary assistance.
The circumstances of the incident remain unclear, but the Abkhazian Interior Ministry has already launched an investigation.

The parliament of occupied Abkhazia did not ratify the investment agreement with Russia due to protests of the population. This led to a weakening of Russian influence in the region. Earlier, the president of the separatist Georgian region of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhania, submitted his resignation.
