During this summer alone, the Russians launched more than 2,000 attacks on the territory of Sumy region. They used missiles, artillery, UAVs, attack drones, and mortars. Due to the constant Russian terror, the population of 183 settlements in 15 territorial communities of Sumy region is subject to priority evacuation. More than 20 thousand people have already been evacuated, including almost 2.5 thousand children. Creation of a buffer zone in the Kursk region is a step to protect our border communities from daily enemy shelling
According to the Interior Minister, "residents of settlements in the area of the defense operation were abandoned by Russia without the most basic necessities." "The military is now providing the Ministry of Internal Affairs with information on the needs of the locals for drinking water, food, medicines, and hygiene products, so that we can organize humanitarian aid as soon as possible in coordination with other relevant authorities," the minister said.
"All our humanitarian initiatives are carried out exclusively in compliance with international law," emphasized Klymenko.
