Russia has redeployed troops from southern Ukraine to its territory due to the Ukrainian armed forces' offensive in the Kursk region. Within a week, Ukrainian forces took control of about 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory.
Against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive in the Kursk region, Russia has withdrawn some troops from the occupied regions of Ukraine to defend its borders. This was stated by Dmytro Lykhovii, spokesman for the operational group of troops "Tavria", Politico reports, UNN reports.
