During the full-scale war, the Russian Federation damaged 1,938 objects in 715 medical facilities and destroyed 297 objects in 114 institutions. In 2024, 124 medical facilities were restored and 4 billion UAH was allocated for renovation.

For over two and a half years of the full-scale war, Russia has deliberately shelled Ukrainian healthcare facilities. By the end of December 2024, the Russian Federation damaged 1,938 medical facilities in 715 healthcare facilities and completely destroyed another 297 facilities in 114 medical institutions. This is reported by the Ministry of Health, writes UNN.

Details

The biggest losses were suffered by hospitals in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. There is no complete information on the degree of destruction of medical facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.

At the same time, 576 medical facilities have already been fully restored and 372 partially restored.

During 2024, 124 medical facilities were successfully rebuilt and put into operation, including:

-Chernechynsky CPMD;

-Chernihiv Regional Hospital;

-Velykoaleksandrivsky CPMD;

-the first stage of the reconstruction of the polyclinic building of the Chernihiv Central District Hospital, etc.

In 2024, more than 4 billion UAH from the state budget was allocated for the implementation of 143 projects for the renovation of healthcare facilities.

"Within one of the joint projects of the Ministry of Health and the World Bank "Strengthening the Health System and Saving Lives" (HEAL Ukraine), in 2024, 22 projects for the renovation of healthcare facilities were selected for implementation and/or the implementation was continued.

Thanks to the UNITED24 platform, it was possible to attract funds for the restoration of medical infrastructure - in 2024, the implementation of six projects for the renovation of medical facilities began, three of which were successfully completed.

Another important area of work in 2024 was the arrangement of shelters and safe conditions for staying in medical facilities. Recall that this year the Government of Ukraine allocated one billion hryvnias for the implementation of 46 projects within the framework of two budget programs", - the message says.
