Russia cynically talks about peace and strikes infrastructure: Pavel about the shelling of Odesa
Kyiv • UNN
Petr Pavel stated that Russia hypocritically declares negotiations while simultaneously attacking civilian infrastructure. The recent strikes in Odesa have resulted in massive fires and destruction.
Czech President Petr Pavel, who was on a visit to Odesa yesterday, said that Russia is acting very cynically when it talks about its readiness for peace talks, while at the same time striking at civilian infrastructure. Pavel said this during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.
We left Odesa by train 20 minutes before the first explosion. This is not related to the attack itself, we were there for a scheduled period of time and it just happened that way. But, what conclusion do I draw - you have to be very cynical to declare a desire to negotiate peace, and at the same time launch a terrible attack on civilian infrastructure. It is very difficult to deal with such a party, and therefore we must point out these events to demonstrate how Russia approaches negotiations
