Russia accused the US of disrupting agreements in Alaska - Reuters

Russian officials said Washington failed to fulfill its obligations after the summit in Alaska. Moscow is disappointed by the lack of US mediation efforts due to the war against Iran.

Russia accused the United States of failing to fulfill the "agreements" reached between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump at the summit in Alaska last August. This shift in rhetoric indicates growing frustration in Moscow, reports UNN citing Reuters.
Details
According to the publication, over three days, three high-ranking Russian officials stated, without providing specific details, that Washington had not fulfilled its obligations.
These comments came amid an intensification of Ukrainian drone strikes deep into Russian territory. At the same time, the Kremlin has frequently referred to the "spirit of Anchorage" since the Alaska summit.
Analysts believe this is a shorthand expression of Russia's claim that Trump does not oppose Putin's demand: Ukraine must cede the entire Donbas in exchange for freezing the front line in other regions.
International Crisis Group analyst Oleg Ignatov noted that Russia was disappointed by the lack of U.S. mediation efforts since February, when Trump, together with Israel, launched a war against Iran, and Washington's attention shifted to other issues.
Also, Russia has consistently ruled out the possibility of mediation by European governments, which have shown almost no signs that they would encourage Kyiv to make significant concessions.
There is no structured diplomatic process, there is no proposal on the table, in fact there is nothing. The Russians are very disappointed with this, they really want the Americans to join the process
Let us recall
U.S. President Donald Trump, during the G7 summit, was "extremely impressed and fascinated" by recent Ukrainian strikes on targets deep inside Russian territory.
