In Russia, the High Qualification Collegium of Judges (HQCJ) has recommended Deputy Chief Justice Iryna Podnosova for the post of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, UNN reports citing RosSIA.
All members of the HQCJ voted in favor of Podnosova's candidacy. At the same time, she was the only candidate who applied for the position.
According to the Russian media, Irina Podnosova is now 71 years old. She was born in Pskov in 1953 and graduated from the law department of Leningrad State University in 1975. At that time, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin graduated from the LSU Law School.
