Provides for assistance of more than 8 800 million: the United States and Ukraine signed an "energy memorandum"

The foreign ministers of Ukraine and the US State Department signed a memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector in the amount of up to 8 825 million. The document provides for the restoration of critical infrastructure and reform of the energy sector of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and US State Department Chief Anthony Blinken signed a memorandum of understanding between the governments of Ukraine and the United States on cooperation in ensuring the sustainability of Ukraine's energy system at NATO headquarters, informs UNN.
The ministry noted that the memorandum provides for the possibility of American assistance totaling up to 8 825 million.
"The document creates a regulatory framework for improving the sustainability of Ukraine's energy system, in particular, restoring its critical infrastructure, introducing distributed generation, reforming the energy sector and promoting the post - war transition to a low-carbon, competitive and integrated economy in Europe," the report says.
