President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the work of journalists a documentation of our truth about the war and evidence of Russian crimes, UNN reports.
Everything that Ukrainian journalists record is our truth about this war and evidence of Russian crimes. It is important that this work is of high quality and contributes to accountability for all crimes and Russian strikes against life. I thank the journalists, all media workers who work for the sake of Ukraine and show the world what our people have to endure and how we are fighting for our independence,
The President noted that "today we also thank all the dedicated foreign media professionals who are on the right side of history and do not let the world forget or remain silent about what is happening in Ukraine." "It is precisely such active support that helps us receive assistance at the political level," he emphasized.
"And we must all preserve the memory and honor the contribution to our struggle of those journalists who died because of this war. Happy Journalist's Day!" - Zelenskyy stated.
