New Ukrainian drone “Shchedryk” has been authorized for delivery to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense has authorized the delivery of a new domestic drone, the Shchedryk, to the troops. The UAV has silent engines, is resistant to electronic warfare, and can operate at altitudes that are difficult for enemy air defense to reach.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has authorized the delivery of the Shchedrykunmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system developed by domestic manufacturers to the units of the Defense Forces. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, UNN reports.

The complex consists of a control station and remotely piloted aircraft.
“The capabilities of the aircraft and its optical equipment allow us to operate from heights that are difficult to reach for most enemy air defense systems,” said Deputy Defense Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.
The Shchedryk drones are equipped with silent electric motors and have increased resistance to electronic interference, which makes them effective in difficult combat conditions. The aircraft are capable of performing missions in strong winds, frost and heat.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution establishing a permanent basis for procurement of domestic drones and electronic warfare equipment.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that this resolution would ensure stability and predictability of the process. In particular, military unit commanders will be able to purchase tactical-level drones and electronic warfare systems without additional approvals from the General Staff.
Military units will also have the opportunity to join the framework agreements between the Ministry of Defense and the State Special Communications Service for faster deliveries at competitive prices.
This decision will accelerate the supply of necessary equipment to the frontline and support the development of Ukrainian manufacturers.
