Over the past day, 357 fires broke out in natural ecosystems in Ukraine on an area of 224.8 hectares. Most of the fires were recorded in Dnipro, Kyiv and Odesa regions, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"More than 1700 firefighters and more than 400 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing fires in the natural ecosystems of Ukraine over the past day. In total, 357 fires occurred, with a total area of 224.8 hectares," the SES reported on social media.
The largest number of fires was reportedly in Dnipropetrovska oblast - 79, with a total area of 70.38 hectares: dry vegetation, forest and debris burned. The top three regions are also Kyiv - 62 (14.25 hectares) and Odesa - 38 (14.52 hectares).
"SES rescuers continue to tame fires across the country. Due to the heat, especially in windy weather, the threat of fires in ecosystems increases significantly," the agency said.
