The Moldovan Foreign Ministry confirmed that Russian missiles and drones violated its airspace during the November 17 attack on Ukraine. Local residents spotted low-flying objects over villages.
Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popschiu confirmed that Russian missiles and drones violated the country's airspace on the morning of November 17 during the attack on Ukraine. He wrote about this in the social network X, according to UNN.
We strongly condemn the violation of Moldovan airspace by Russian missiles and drones targeting Ukraine's critical infrastructure. Explosions near our border and drones flying low over our villages demonstrate the risks to our citizens from Russia's war,
The Minister added to his post a video that was previously published by NordNews. The video was sent by a local resident of the village of Ruseni, Yedynets district. He claims that the missiles flew at a low altitude, and CCTV cameras recorded their sound.
The Moldovan government Telegram channel Prima Sursa also reported that several Russian drones could have violated Moldovan airspace, but radars did not detect them because they were flying at low altitude.
