A 39-year-old resident of Khabarovsk was charged with high treason and terrorism promotion. According to the FSB, he was collecting information about the Russian military and FSB officers at the request of Ukrainian intelligence.

In the Russian city of Khabarovsk, a local resident was accused of high treason and allegedly facilitating terrorist activities by performing tasks received from Ukrainian intelligence. This was reported by the FSB department of the Eastern Military District, UNN reports.

The 39-year-old from Khabarovsk was charged under two articles. Under the first one, he faces up to life imprisonment, and under the second - up to 15 years in prison.

“The defendant is an opponent of the Russian political system and the special military operation in Ukraine,” the FSB reported.

It is noted that through the messenger, the suspect established contact with an agent of the Ukrainian special services, who subsequently connected him with a staff member of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The Khabarovsk resident was tasked with collecting information about Russian military personnel (special attention was focused on commanders and those who had the title of “Heroes of Russia”) and FSB officers.
