In the TOT, occupiers are forcibly seizing fuel from gas stations for their own needs – NRC

In the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, Russians are seizing gasoline at gas stations under threat. The military is reselling part of the fuel to local residents.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russian military personnel are forcibly seizing gasoline and diesel from civilian gas stations due to fuel shortages. According to the National Resistance Center (NRC), such cases are being recorded in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and are accompanied by threats to employees, UNN reports.

According to NRC sources, Russian military personnel arrive at gas stations in fuel tankers and, under threat, force employees to hand over stocks of gasoline and diesel fuel. No documents or official decisions are provided—owners and staff are simply presented with a fait accompli.
The situation is made particularly cynical by the fact that some of the seized fuel never reaches military units at all. According to the NRC, individual Russian servicemen resell it to local residents at inflated prices. In effect, fuel taken from civilians under threat is turned into a source of personal profit for the occupiers.
It is telling that at the same time, the occupation authorities are introducing restrictions on the sale of fuel to the population, explaining the deficit as "temporary difficulties." In reality, the cause of the shortage is the prioritized supply for the needs of the Russian army and corruption within the occupation structures themselves,
