In Mariupol, the Russian occupiers dismantled a memorial sign in honor of the 500th anniversary of the Ukrainian Cossacks, which was installed in the city center. This was reported by the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko, UNN reports.

Russians destroyed another monument in Mariupol. Again, it was a monument to Ukraine. The monument on Rynok Square, with a reference to the fact that Mariupol was founded from a Cossack fortress, was dismantled. Not yet, but it's a matter of time

According to the Mariupol City Council, a memorial sign to the Zaporozhian Cossacks of the Kalmius Palanka was erected on the site of the Kalmius watchpost, the center of the Kalmius Palanka, to mark the 500th anniversary of the Ukrainian Cossacks.
The sign has commemorative inscriptions and recognizable seals of the Zaporizhzhia Sich, in the center of Cossack Square in central Mariupol, near the Drama Theater. It was installed over 30 years ago.
