He was Anton, but he became Tonya: SBGSU tells how a man changed his gender to cross the border
Kyiv • UNN
A man of military age tried to cross the Ukrainian border using forged medical documents identifying him as a woman to evade conscription.
A man of military age tried to cross the border using documents in which he appeared as a woman, said Colonel Ihor Matviychuk, head of the border control department of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service, at a press conference, UNN reports.
Details
According to Matviychuk, the rules for crossing the border have not changed. The exceptions that are in place are still in place. The amount of documents required to cross the border has not changed either.
He added that the "Shlyakh" system is not used as actively as before, but other methods of illegal border crossing are currently in use.
"We have recently seen an increase in the detection of fictitious marriages with people with disabilities and people with many children," Matviychuk said.
In addition, he told about an interesting case of men of military age who want to leave Ukraine. The man provided border guards with forged medical documents in which he was listed as a woman.
A man of military age claimed and then officially received documents from the registry office that he had changed his gender to female: he was Anton and now he is Tonya. But he did not change his gender, only changed his documents. These are some interesting new schemes to avoid the draft and cross the border illegally
