The French Senate supported the security agreement signed between Ukraine and France, demonstrating solidarity with Ukraine.
The French Senate supported the agreement on security guarantees signed by the presidents of Ukraine and France in Paris on February 16. This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in France, UNN reported.

As noted, the agreement with France is the first of its kind to be signed by Ukraine, which has been voted on and approved by both houses of the country's parliament.
"This is an important testimony of the solidarity of the French people with Ukraine, which is crucial for strengthening and continuing further French assistance in our struggle," the embassy said in a statement.

Earlier, the lower house of the French parliament, the National Assembly of France, supported the presented agreement on security guarantees by 372 votes.
"This landmark vote once again demonstrates the solidarity of the French people with Ukraine in all areas," the embassy said.
The diplomatic institution noted that most of the speeches contained words of support for the latest initiatives of the French President. "This gives hope for a further increase and acceleration of French assistance to Ukraine in our common struggle," the embassy added.
