For the first time since 2016, Russian planes struck Syria's second largest city, Aleppo. This is reported by BILD and AFP, reports UNN.
"Russian warplanes on the night of November 30 for the first time since 2016 struck parts of the city of Aleppo, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
It is noted that the Syrian wing of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network - the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group - and allied formations took control of "most of the city, government centers and prisons.

The Battle of Aleppo in 2016 marked a turning point in the war between Syrian government forces and rebels since protests against Bashar al-Assad's rule escalated into war in 2011.
Rebels broke into Syria's second-largest city, Aleppo, detonating two car bombs on Friday, and engaged in fighting with government forces on the western outskirts of the city.
In Aleppo, the airport and all roads leading to the city are closed. Government forces have been ordered to"retreat cautiously." Russia, which is one of the key partners of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, has already promised Damascus additional military assistance to prevent the insurgency.
