Two Russian paratroopers have been notified of suspicion for the execution of a woman in Bucha in March 2022. Another occupier will stand trial for the abuse of civilians.

Prosecutors have notified two Russian servicemen of suspicion for shooting a female civilian during the occupation of Bucha. Another occupier will be tried for the ill-treatment of civilians. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

According to the investigation, the suspects are servicemen of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Air Assault Division of the Russian Airborne Forces. In March 2022, they were patrolling the area between high-rise buildings on Sklozavodska Street in Bucha, where local residents were hiding in shelters from shelling and the actions of the occupiers.
Upon seeing a woman in civilian clothes moving between the buildings, the soldiers opened fire on her with automatic weapons. While trying to escape, she ran into an annex of a building, but a bullet pierced the door and mortally wounded her. The victim died on the spot from her injuries,
The actions of the suspects are qualified as a violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with the intentional murder of a civilian.
The Office of the Prosecutor General notes that one of the suspects is already an accused party in another criminal proceeding regarding the murder of a civilian during the occupation of the Kyiv region—the indictment in that case has already been submitted to the court.
In addition, an indictment has been sent to court regarding a senior instructor of the Rosgvardia from the "Kuzbass" special forces unit. According to the investigation, during the occupation of Bucha, he threatened peaceful residents with weapons, conducted illegal searches in homes, and interrogated civilians.
The investigation is ongoing—law enforcement officers are establishing other facts of war crimes committed by the occupiers.
