In Ukraine, more than 8 million hectares are monitored in Cropwise Operations. More than 1300 agricultural enterprises are connected to the CWO system.

In Ukraine, more than 200,000 fields, corresponding to a total coverage area of more than 8 million hectares, which is actually every third hectare, are monitored in Cropwise Operations (CWO).
This was mentioned in an interview with Forbes by Oleksandr Kravchuk, CEO of the Ukrainian division of Syngenta.
According to him, Cropwise Operations is an aggregator of digital services with Agrointelligence functions, cross-platform characteristics and interconnections between various auxiliary programs.
"In 2013, the Ag tech company Cropio was created by Ukrainian entrepreneurs, which the Syngenta group of companies acquired in 2019. Cropio has evolved as part of the Cropwise multi-digital brand of services. Currently, more than 1,300 Ukrainian agricultural enterprises – we are talking about parent companies – with a land bank of 500 ha to 500,000 ha are connected to the CWO system," he states.
At the same time, Oleksandr Kravchuk is convinced that agriculture is confidently moving towards 100% digitalization: from the selection of crops, protection and nutrition systems to obtaining loans and acquiring new knowledge.
"Agriculture is a complex and extremely important ecosystem. A lot depends on the stability and efficiency of its work: from the obvious – ensuring global food security and the well-being of millions of communities. For Ukraine, this is also a key budget-forming link in the economy. Digital tools and AI are real levers of transformation that ensure sustainable development of the agricultural sector," he adds.
According to Oleksandr Kravchuk, the company is constantly looking for new approaches to be more useful for partners and to maintain open communication.
"We scale up what works, and less effective practices are accumulated experience, this forms a colossal database. Two years ago, on the basis of the R&D center in Bila Tserkva, we launched the Agricultural School (Syngenta Training Center) – an educational platform for the agricultural community, which combines practical field training and theoretical classes with the participation of our experts and industry leaders, this is perhaps the largest and most dynamic space for communication and exchange of experience on the market," he states.
Oleksandr Kravchuk emphasizes the importance of Ukrainian farmers obtaining the highest yields, so the company provides the market with modern agricultural solutions based on the latest scientific achievements and technologies.
"We provide early access to innovations for Ukrainian farmers: from unique active substances (technology ADEPTIDIN®), registered today only in a few countries of the world, to new progressive genetics (technology A.I.R.® against broomrape in sunflower). We also promote the digitalization of agribusiness and we are developing flexible approaches to solving issues of liquidity and lack of financing for producers," summarizes the CEO of the Ukrainian division of Syngenta.
