The Ministry of Health of Ukraine is implementing the eKrov system to automate blood donation processes, increase safety and
monitoring, and improve blood supply management in the country.
Thanks to the capabilities of the information and communication system of blood donation "eKrov", Ukraine plans to simplify and streamline blood donation. This was reported by the Ministry of Health, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that the eCrowd system will be responsible for the functions related to the donation of blood and its components. Thus administrative procedures and production processes in the field of blood and its components donation will be functionally automated.
The eKrov system will include functional modules and registers that will allow summarizing complete information on donations, certain types of examination, planning and monitoring.
Ensuring the safety and quality of donated blood and blood components is a European integration commitment of Ukraine. The system's capabilities will allow to have timely and reliable information on blood needs, as well as to monitor blood stocks at the national and regional levels
Addendum
The Ministry of Health emphasizes that in interaction with the electronic healthcare system, the eKrov system will ensure accounting and control of blood and blood components donation.
It is also noted that the eCover system will include several public registries, which, in particular, are being developed on the Diia.Engine platform.
In addition, the resolution also provides for the creation of a license register, which will be transferred to the State Service on Medicines and Drugs Control to maintain and perform functions related to licensing and state supervision (control) in the field of blood and blood components donation.
