Kyiv • UNN
Defense Forces struck a navigation equipment plant and an oil refinery in Russia. Fuel and lubricant depots and a "Kasta" radar station were also destroyed in the temporarily occupied territories.

On the night of May 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched strikes on a number of Russia's military and economic infrastructure facilities, including the "VNIIR-Progress" plant in Cheboksary and the "Kirishsky" oil refinery in the Leningrad region. This was reported by the General Staff of the AFU, according to UNN.
Details
According to the military, the strikes were aimed at reducing the potential of the Russian army and its logistics.
Strike on a manufacturer of components for missiles and drones
One of the key targets was the "VNIIR-Progress" plant, which produces navigation equipment for modern weaponry.
The enterprise is engaged in the production of GNSS receivers and antennas for GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo systems, which are used in Shahed-type kamikaze drones, cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as in gliding modules for aerial bombs
Russia uses these components for strikes against Ukraine, particularly against civilian infrastructure.
Fire at the oil refinery
The "Kirishsky" oil refinery, which provides fuel for Russian troops, was also hit.
The refinery's infrastructure was struck, followed by a fire on the facility's territory
Both enterprises play an important role in supporting the Russian occupation army.
Warehouses and equipment hit at the front
In addition, the Ukrainian military struck a number of targets directly in the temporarily occupied territories.
These include a field fuel and lubricants depot in the Luhansk region, a command and observation post and a "Kasta" radar station in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as a logistics warehouse near Donetsk.
The scale of the damage is being clarified
The AFU emphasized that such strikes will continue to weaken the enemy's military capabilities and stop its aggression against Ukraine.
