In 2023, the Danube ports more than doubled their cargo handling. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting, UNN reports.
In 2023, Danube ports more than doubled their cargo transshipment. During the same time, the number of ships calling at Reni, Izmail and Ust-Dunaisk increased by 54% compared to last year. Romania is our key partner here. This country accounts for 11% of the value of Ukrainian exports.

According to Denys Shmyhal, there is an extremely positive dynamics of bilateral trade relations and it is expected that by the end of the year, the Ukrainian-Romanian trade turnover will increase to 4 million tons.
We will actively develop this area in the future. At the same time, we are also focusing on the rapid recovery program. We are constantly looking for additional resources for its implementation.
