Iran's intelligence services have completed an investigation into the plane crash that killed President Raisi. Weather conditions and overloading were named as the causes of the crash, and the possibility of sabotage was ruled out.
The plane crash that killed Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was recognized as an accident. This was reported by the Iranian Fars news agency, citing a source in the country's intelligence services, UNN reports.
According to the Fars source, Iran's intelligence services have checked about 30,000 people as part of the investigation, and the results of these investigations show that there is no human factor and no suspicious factors have been identified.
The possibility of sabotage and hacking of the helicopter's electronic systems has also been ruled out, the source added. In addition, the research found no signs of chemicals or harmful substances.
According to the Fars source, the crash was caused by two factors: weather conditions and overload. The helicopter reportedly took off with a delay, and the weather had deteriorated at the time.
"The security and intelligence services have completed their thorough investigation, and there is absolute certainty that what happened was an accident," the source concluded.

The helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi crashed on May 19. Foreign Minister Hussein-Amir Abdullahian was also on board.
