Biden promises to stay in the presidential race, stating that "Americans want a president, not a dictator," and warning of the dangers of a potential new Trump presidency.
Seeking to regain momentum in his re-election campaign, US President Joe Biden spoke at a rally in Detroit on Friday, reassuring his intention to keep fighting. He also raised the issue of the potential danger of a new Donald Trump presidency. Writes UNN with reference to Reuters.
US President Joseph Biden, 81, has been trying to shift the focus of public attention away from questions about his agility and the growing number of criticisms from Democrats to the implications of a possible Trump return, especially after his tentative showing at the June 27 debate.
"I am running, and we will win. I am the nominee. I'm not going anywhere," Biden said.
Pointing to a seat for journalists in the gym, Biden said: "They were criticizing me," to which the audience responded with booing. "Now imagine Donald Trump getting a free pass," he added.
Hopefully, with age, some wisdom will come. Here's what I know - I know how to tell the truth, I know right from wrong... and I know that Americans want a president, not a dictator
